Clarence A. Lee Sr.
Clarence was born in Midlothian, VA in 1930. He attended Chesterfield County Public Schools and graduated in 1946 He joined the military in 1948 and spent 3 years in Korea, attaining the rank of Master Sergeant, one of the youngest in the Korean War.
He returned home to attend Virginia Union and Virginia State College where he studied industrial management.
In the meantime he married Gloria Harris from Chesterfield County, built a house on Branchway Road, and began a family.
In 1964 he passed the electrical tradesman test with a perfect score and he was the first black licensed electrician in Virginia. He started Midlothian Electric Company in 1965.
Today, at 86 years young, Clarence enjoys semi retirement with his children and grandchildren. He is still active in church, First Baptist- Midlothian, and the community. He is a true History Maker!
